Hiragana III: な to ん
Finish the basic hiragana chart and learn how to read the special kana ん in short words.
The な and は rows
This lesson completes more of the core chart. Read the rows aloud in rhythm and keep matching each shape to a clear sound. For now, treat は as the basic hiragana ha in the chart; later you will meet it again as the topic particle pronounced wa.
な に ぬ ね の
na ni nu ne no
This is the な row.
は ひ ふ へ ほ
ha hi fu he ho
This is the は row, and ふ is read fu rather than hu.
ふね
boat
This word gives you a real example of ふ and ね together.
