予定です describes something that is scheduled or planned. It often sounds more external and calendar-based than つもりです, especially with meetings, buses, classes, and events.
会議は三時に始まる予定です。
The meeting is scheduled to start at three.
始まる予定です gives an arranged start time.
バスは九時に出る予定です。
The bus is scheduled to leave at nine.
予定です fits public schedules and transportation.
先生は次の授業を教室で行う予定です。
The teacher is scheduled to hold the next class in the classroom.
The sentence describes a planned class location and event arrangement.
