Why the て-Form Matters
The て-form is one of the most important building blocks in beginner Japanese. Many high-frequency patterns depend on it, including 〜てください, 〜てもいい, 〜ている, and action linking.
たべる → たべて
eat → eat and / please eat / eating
The same て-form supports many later grammar patterns.
みる → みて
see → seeing / please see
みて is the regular ichidan て-form.
くる → きて
come → come and / please come
きて is the irregular て-form of 来る.
