A practical N4 story about checking landmarks, comparing old information with the real streets, revising a draft map, and thinking from the walker’s point of view.

Sentence 1
来月、地域センターで町歩きの会を開くことになりました。
Next month, it was decided that the community center would hold a town-walk event.
Sentence 2
あやはその会の手伝いとして、案内マップを見直す仕事を任されます。
Aya is assigned the job of reviewing the guide map as help for that event.
Sentence 3
机の上に広げた古い地図には、前の年の情報がそのまま残っていました。
On the old map spread out on the desk, information from the previous year was still left just as it was.

新しいパン屋ができた通りも、まだ空き店のまま書かれています。
