Sentence 1
月曜日の朝、学校の靴箱の前には濡れた傘がたくさんありました。
On Monday morning, there were many wet umbrellas in front of the school shoe lockers.

前の日の夕方、急に強い雨が降ったからです。
That was because a strong rain had suddenly fallen the evening before.
Sentence 3
あやが学校に入ると、先生が少し困った顔で立っていました。
When Aya entered the school, a teacher was standing there with a slightly troubled look on her face.

先生は「だれか、傘置き場を少し整理してくれませんか」と言いました。
The teacher said, “Could someone straighten up the umbrella area a little?”
