土曜日の午後、あやは町内会の手伝いで公民館へ行きました。

Mika stood at the storeroom entrance and read out the names of the boxes that had been carried out, one by one.

作業の途中で、近くの小学校から借りている発電機も確認することになりました。

In the middle of the work, it was decided that they would also check the generator borrowed from the nearby elementary school.

発電機は重かったので、三人でゆっくり台車に乗せて外へ出しました。

Hearing those words, Aya felt that being prepared is not only a matter of gathering things.

After the work ended, the two made a new chart and made it so that the next person to look would not get confused.

帰る前に倉庫をもう一度見回すと、前よりずっと分かりやすく整っていました。

When they looked around the storeroom one more time before going home, it was arranged much more clearly than before.

あやは、目立たない仕事でも、地域の安心を支える大事な役目があるのだと思いました。

Aya thought that even work that does not stand out has the important role of supporting the community’s peace of mind.
